A carpet uniquely reflects the craftsmanship behind it and the knowledge of the art of knotting that has been passed down through generations. But at the same time, it is an object that you walk on with your feet. I believe there is hardly any other object that combines these two contrasting qualities, luxury and utility, so directly. In a sense, this work transfers the idea of stepping on a handcrafted achievement to stepping on illuminated light bulbs. Something very fragile, full of energy.
